I told my dad... finally.

    Holy crap, today was so difficult. XD
    So I basically came out like this:

    Earlier today, I was really upset about some stupid drama at school,
    and my parents asked what's wrong. I asked my mom to
    talk to her alone, and we went into my room. She said that
    she thought I should tell my dad sooner or later (she's known for a
    month)... So my dad and I were going to Subways, and he asked me
    why I was all smiley and such, so this was our dialogue:
    Dad: So is everything okay?
    Me: Yup. *smiling uncontrolably*
    Dad: ... what's with the big smile?
    Me: Well, I figure I'll be honest with you. Dad, I'm not straight.
    *awkward pause*
    Me: But I'm not gay either... I'm bisexual.
    Dad: ... so you like girls... AND guys? When did you figure that out?
    Me: Well, in middle school, the guys were a bunch of asses, so I really
    didn't think much about it. But then during freshmen year, I started to
    see guys and girls in a different light.
    Dad: ... so are you attracted to guys or girls more?
    Me: I like them equally. *having a nervous breakdown on the inside*
    Dad: ... well you're my son, and I love ya. I cried tears of joy the day you
    were born, and I'd take a hit just for you.
    *pulling into parking lot*
    Dad: But I'll be honest, I think that's weird.
    Me: Well I wasn't expecting you to be excited. XD
    Dad: Haha okay...
    *after getting sammiches and going back to car*
    Dad: ... so is there any chance that I'll get grandkids?
    Me: Yup. One way or another. XD
    Dad: Okay! Then I don't care if you're a flamingo, so long as I get grandkids.
    Me: Haha okay. XD
    *at home*
    Me: *smiling*
    Mom: Why are you smiling?
    Me: *whispers* I told dad.
    Mom: o_o Get your sandwich and meet me in my room. I can watch my soaps while
    you tell me how it went.
    Me: Okay. :grin:

    So that basically was the.most stressful/nerve wrecking day of my life. XD
    Plus, I can out to another friend by explaining it using hot dogs and tacos. :3
    So now 4 people know. And all I wanna know is: When the hell did I grow the balls to speak up? XD

    That's awesome! I'm really glad he took it so well. There's a special place in my heart for parents that are like, "That's fine as long as you give me grandkids." I don't know why, but I find it hilarious.

    I have a feeling that my mum would react the exact same way if I told her lol. :grin: Not sure about my dad though. Family reputation seems to matter a lot in my family so I'm not taking my chances yet. Not ready to turn from golden boy to the black sheep.:tears:

    I'm glad I was able to overcome a big obstacle...
