I just posted a status explaining that I'm Bi. Only two responses so far, one that was just "Srsly?" and my mother texting me to take it down or my life will be hell, that you don't post that on the internet, that she's had enough of my shit, and so forth. So... no, this hasn't gone well as of yet. So I suppose I'll just sit in my room and cry now...

I'm sure you'll get some nice responses from all the awesome people you know, just give it some time.

Congrats on coming out! Good luck with everything and your mom, that was very brave. Facebook is going to be my final coming out, after my parents. No matter the responses, be proud of yourself for being honest and true to who you are. You're awesome. (*hug*)

P.S. Your avatar made me smile/laugh/giggle. I love it.

It'll be okay. Just try to forget about it, and everything will be all right. (*hug*) I know this feeling, definitely, I've went through similar situations before -- posting stuff on my Facebook I regret posting now. I usually delete the post and keep myself preoccupied, say with a book, or with the piano (that's just me, whatever rows your boat). I forget about it within a few days and it's just another thing of the past. You won't care about what other people think, either.

Everything will be all right. I promise. (*hug*)

But also -- don't worry! You just did something a lot of LGBTs can't do! You mustered the courage and you did what seems the undoable -- you came out! Be proud of yourself! You deserve a reward, no matter what people think!

^ I agree. You beat me to it. That shit is scary.
Therefore, I dedicate this dancing banana to you, Robotpie (awesome name). Because you deserve it.

Congratulations! Yea you'll get some negative responses, but you'll also get some positive responses. I would wait a bit. I wouldn't take it down or respond to either of those messages. Don't cop out. Also don't forget to change your "likes" to "likes men and women" because then it can stay on your profile and not be buried by other posts (if you want it to, that is).

That's an amazingly strong step to take, and I'm impressed by you're courage. You might experience some really negative responses, but I truly believe that your life will get so much better.

    Congrats!

First, (*hug*). That must have been difficult. And the fact that your mother said what she said doesn't help. Don't let her take away this moment, though. You took a big step, be proud of yourself! All will be well eventually. Besides, there will be positive responses. Maybe not on FaceBook exactly, but somewhere. Like here!

I love all you guys  This seriously cheered me up. Surprisingly, most of my friends have been really cool about it, and just like "Lol, alright then." or similar things. And my mom... well, she's... herself. I was told to "Just do whatever you want, you're immature and disrespectful." But, it's whatever. I'm all good. So, actually, all in all, this has been surprisingly positive (as long as all hell doesn't break loose tomorrow at school), and no word yet from my secret crush. But no news is good news, right?

EDIT: also, thanks for the dancing banana XD That seriously made my day.

I have seriously been worried all day waiting for you to post how it went. I can't tell you how relieved I am after hearing that. Good luck at school tomorrow.

Congrats! That's a major feat right there! *hug*
Glad to see your friends are accepting, and as for you mom...
well, she's just gonna have to learn to accept you for who you are.
Don't ever be ashamed of who you are!
    Stay strong! :3

Aww, yay, you liked your banana. ^_^
He has more than one move too: (!!)

I'm glad your friends are okay so far, that's great! I hope your mom comes around some day, but you're still amazing. And inspiring to us all here at EC for taking that dreaded step. Bravo. :eusa_danc

Good job! I wish I was as brave as you (or that my mom let me get a Facebook). I hope she comes around, it's a shame she reacted that way
