Well, not everyone. I haven't told everyone at school (though rumors are unfortunately starting to spread), and I know that I'll never be able to tell some of my older family members, but that's not the point! Going in to the coming out process, I had sort of a list of people that I needed to come out to, made up of a few of my close friends, my parents, and my brother. Last night, I finally told my brother, and my list is entirely checked off! I feel so liberated knowing that I don't have to worry about telling them anymore. It feels so great!
That's awesome!! Congrats!! It's a great feeling to tell you parents. (I don't have a brother, so I can't relate to you there).
Congratulations! a funny aside: I was coming in here to post MY coming out(ish) story and saw a post by Nathan. I had a "omg did I black out and already post this? what else did I do?" moment! lololol
That's amazing, congratulations! (!) And I actually really love the idea of making a list of who to come out to. I should of thought of that before I started coming out!
He took it really well! I was freaking out beforehand because I just didn't know what to say, but then I just kind of blurted it out and he was completely fine with it! I think he had already suspected something, haha!
Well good, I'm glad it worked out for you and that he and the rest of your family still support you and love you. You're very lucky to have that, not everyone does. Congratulations again.
