I've said it before but it bears repeating- I'm not lesbian, bi, or transgender, but I have my own sexual differences. Anyways, I came out to my mom and it's been rough, but she's finally asking questions. Like when we were in the car today: I had reposted something on twitter about how my favorite member of my favorite boyband says he's the most perverted in the group. And since I am writing some, shall we say, perverted fan fiction about me and him (and my mom knows about it BTW), she asked me if that's why I chose him. BUT IS IS SO FREAKIN AWKWARD TO ANSWER HER QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!! I mean, I'm happy that she's asking them and all, I just don't know how to answer them without wigging out!! :bang: Any advice? PLEASE???? I'll give you a hug! :roflmao: Okay maybe not.... but yeah. Please and thank you!
Well if you really want her questions answered although it may be awkward for you to answer them for her, find her articles that she can read. This will help clear the air and maybe help her have more background info so she won't have to ask questions. Another great resource is PFLAG, so see if you could find some info from them for her. Hoped I could help
She knows youre writing fic and she doesnt mind? That's an awesome mom but I'd find that so awkward if I was in that situation, considering that fic (or the stuff I'm used to to) is essentially hardcore porn. Anyways, I'd just be calm and well maybe try and explain everything as much as you can and give plenty of resources
What's making it awkward? That it's your mom who is asking these? She's taken an interest in your life, and it seems to be friendly and cool. When in this kind of conversation, treat her like a friend; uphold good temperament and some teasing, but stay respectful. She sounds fun, so have some fun! Be honest
