Having the support of your mother will be invaluable. You can't measure that sort of thing, and she sounds like she might just deal with it.

I still haven't told mine. I'm gonna cut my hair before it, haha! She's wanted me to get a haircut for about two years. When I get one, I'll tell her about that, the adventure volunteering thing, everything, haha! I could tell her I was a serial killer, and she'd just go "That's nice, James. So, your hair's wonderful!"
