This is a move I thought I wouldn't take, at least not in the office, but I came out to a coworker. Our IT shop is fairly conservative, and I kind of feel like many people I work with are sort of douche bags, but I went on a long hike with this one guy and the subject of dating came up. He turned out to be quite supportive, so I am pretty happy about that. ^^
Congratulations. It's one of the things I fear the most coming out in the office. I work in a very male dominated field and feel intimidated enough as it is. There is one gay man in the office who knows, he just came out to me as soon as we met and asked me straight out. We now go to bars together quite often. I haven't really told anyone else though, has your experience made you feel better about being more open in work or do you think you'll leave it at that?
