On Monday, while I was on facebook, I decided that I would post a status that said "Happy coming out week" (My university celebrates by doing an entire week of events.) Well.. my aunt saw this and she commented "Is this your announcement to the family?". I was shocked for a bit.. I wasn't even thinking about coming out to my extended family yet. So.. after a few hours, I sent my aunt a PM on facebook telling her that I am gay. I also told her to keep it quiet in the family for a bit. I want to be able to tell the rest of my family myself. So.. that is the first member of my extended family that I have came out to! (!)(!)(!)
