Yes, it is. This night I had a conversation with one of my friends. "So... when will you be bringing a girl with you?" "Never." "Why not?" A few seconds of silence "....because I'm gay" There, I said it. Easier than I ever imagined I could. No time to worry, no time to make up conversations in my mind, just an unexpected question. And apparently it works. His reaction? No problem. He has a cousin who's gay, and another friend. He did ask how I knew for sure, so I finally got to use the "let me ask a question in return... how do you know you're straight?". That made it clear. I'm happy. Another friend who knows.
