So, I came out not too long ago, but not in a traditional way. My mom came out to herself for me. I was watching television (Spongebob I believe) and my mom walked in and asked me when was I going to tell her Mariah, my girlfriend or EX now, and I were dating. I was so shocked I couldn't even speak. We had a very long talk and she told me she is bisexual as well and doesn't care. I felt so loved and it is awesome to be out. (!)
Glad to hear that the unexpected outing of yours went so well. It's wonderful that you're mother knows exactly where you're coming from and is supportive.
