So today I was coming home from work and I got an overwhelming urge to come out to my mother and so I called her and talked to her, I was too afraid to tell her on the phone so we met up somewhere and on the phone I told her I had something important to tell her! So we met up and I just said, "Okay there's different types of people in this world, and you know how there's some women who like men? And then there's some women who like women? Well I think I'm one of those people." And she said that doesn't change anything between us. She is totally fine with it!! I actually kept asking her, "Are you sure you're not disappointed or saddened?" And she said, "Why should I be? This is what makes you happy and that's all that matters."
Haha That's a fun way to come out! Your mum is like mine! Very accepting and loving! What a great success story!
I'm glad to hear it went well and I really like the way you phrased it It's great that she supports you as well. I was nervous... Well, both times that I came out to my own mother. Like yours, both were pretty spur of the moment decisions, and both went well. Way to go for having the courage to do it, and again, I'm really happy for you!
