Accidently Came Out

I was in the common room with literally everyone to day and the smallest boy ever (Luis)came over and just interrupted my conversation and started randomly talking. He wasn’t exactly shy. He started off and didn’t get much further.

“Hey, I’ve come up with a new name for gays, :***: ”

I replied, “MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL WHO YOU’RE TALKING TO YOU F**KIN :***: I’M GAY YOU ABSOLUTE RETARD NOW WHY DON’T YOU GO AND HIDE BACK IN YOUR F**KIN LITTLE CORNER YOU COMPLETE :***: .”

Suddenly the entire room seemed to be cheering and I realised that I’d just shouted at him and subsequently come out to almost everyone I know and what more as far as I know everyone supported me, I wasn’t brave enough to hang around for long enough to find out for certain, I’m going to try and find out tomorrow but I have to admit I kind of phoned my mum and went straight home, I’m not going to pretend it was a courageous act, I was just furious with him.

    WOAH

Maybe not the best way to come out, admittedly. And I think that kid'll think twice before saying anything about gays again. Still, you're out now, I hope everyone's okay with it. Good luck.

How old was the kid? Yeah, you probably shouldn't have used the f-bomb or called him a "retard" but saying something and standing up for yourself is GREAT!

The guys seventeen (just short) so he could handle the language, he's just kinda soar about being yelled at like that perticually by me, being gay and all. I don't care about him to be honest its everyone else I'm worried about.

OH, I was thinking a little kid. Like 8 or 9. A seventeen year old should know better.

Yeah I completely agree but I think its just one of these little guys way of trying to prove they're tough and eyerything rather than actually being homophobic as he didn't follow it up and according to my sister he hasn't said anything to anyone yet (at all!) so I think he's just taken a shock, my schools small so there aren't many gays there anly me and two others I know about.

Ok I just got a phone call,at half eleven, from the friend I talked about before apparently there's been like this massive conversation, which I missed, on MSN and just about everyone in my school is behind me, except Louis who's still unheard from, but my friend has allready told them all not to tell anyone outside the school and they've all agreed which meens my dad's not goin to find out this has turned out really well I cant believe it!:icon_bigg
Except I'm now feeling bad about shouting at Louis which kind of sucks. so I guess I'll have to try and talk to him.

Time and again I have wanted to mention something to someone about why they shouldn't use certain words in certain contexts, but I never find the gumption to carry out my convictions. Turning it into a mass outing has its artistic flair. Well done sir!

Yay! That's great that everyones behind you like this! You must have one hell of a community!

And....umm...not to distract from the goodness of all this, but what exactly was the word? Or was it really too bad to say?
