I was at work today and some how my colleagues got onto the subject of one employees daughter and how she was a lesbian. Everyone at work knows I like girls! But heres what happened next... The woman who was talking about her daughter said 'but she wants to become a boy.' I was kind of in an awkward situation at this point! Then one of my workmates turned around and said to me 'did you ever want to become a boy, George?' I was speechless for a few seconds before replying 'actually, I want to become a boy now. I'm trans.' No one really knew what to say but they did have a few questions. So today, my workmates found out about my transgenderism! And completely unplanned too! Woo hoo!
That's great! I actually had a similar experience when my boyfriend found out. Only it was on a group video chatting site with him and a few of my other friends, the topic was brought up and I blurted out that I was transgender. Haha c: Sadly only my boyfriend accepted it after that tho, I'm glad you had a better outcome!
Oh, you're lucky though, you had it easy! Seemed light-hearted enough. It's better that they asked questions though, instead of assuming a crap ton of stuff.
