Hey people, first post (!) I've recently come out of the closet to everyone, at the pretty young age of fourteen. My close friends have known for over a year now I think, and I recently met some new people that have really given my a lot of confidence and encouraged (not forced) me to come out. I've been with this guy for almost two weeks, and ended up coming out by changing my relation ship status on face book to in a relationship with him...got tonnes of likes etc. although a good few people did think it was a joke. I haven't had a single bad reaction, and can't thank all of my friends enough for being so supportive.. My sister has known for a few months, and I came out to my parents last week. Again, it couldn't have gone better! Both my mam and dad are really happy I'm okay with it and proud of me and all that, although my dad finds it very funny  So yeah, I just couldn't be luckier than I am right now! I haven't been in school since coming out on facebook, since we've been on mid-term break but going back on Monday so we'll see how it goes then! :icon_bigg Sorry for the essay :icon_redf -Dan
Same thing here I recently told everybody on facebook that I'm gay and I am going to tell my parents soon!
congrats, but how did you bring it up to you're parents? im trying to find the most delicate way to break it to them
Thanks guys! Yeah, so glad I did it and it's a huge relief. @Slashlife: To my mam I just brought it up to her about how there was something on my mind and wanted to talk to her about it, and then I went on from there! Similar thing with my dad, I've found the best way to come out is to say you need to talk to them about something, It's a lot easier than just blurting it out and then they'll take you more seriously and you have a chance to say it. -Dan
