I have been going through so much I can't explain, I'm so apathetic right now I think I'm just tell my bestfriend right now, blunt and straight to the point. Ugh I can't believe this is happening.

    DUN.

    DUN.

    DUUNNNNNNNN..

It went great I guess. I feel weird, cause I know she is trying to understand but it's hard to explain without her thinking it's a phase or something. Anyone have any suggestions?

There's not really a way you can prove its not a phase. Obviously it's not a phase for those who identify.
I just say continue life and let her see with her eyes who you fall in love with, etc.
But back to what I was going to say: I'm glad it went decently. Takes a lot of courage.

I hope you feel better though.

When I came out to my parents (also via email), it took me like 15 minutes to press the send button (and much, much longer to actually write it, and wait for the right time to send it, it's a 3 page missive).

But the response was like nothing I ever expected. My parents are both very religious people, and I thought that they would reject me, and the exact opposite happened - nothing but complete love and acceptance of who I am.

Hopefully your friend reacts the same way . I also went through the whole "am I ready?" phase of things, but I am who I am, and nothing is changing that. Just keep that in mind, and everything will be fine

Well guys, I have to admit it was pretty crazy. It took me like forever to press send, and we had a text conversation until like 12:00 in the morning. I was kind of sick all day, it was a pretty big deal for me cause no one has ever known and it has played such a big part in my life. She was completely accepting, although she did throw a couple scriptures at me  (which was expected) I still can't believe it all happened, the entire thing was on impulse.

And yes I got bombarded with lots of questions, which I was completely ok with.

Congrats, man! Many people have taken far longer to hit the send button so no worries on that.

If any of the scripture she sends is supposed to show that being gay is wrong, just remember that none of it is actually about innate sexuality. Hopefully the scriptures she sent were about how we're all created perfectly as we are and how love is always good.

Hey I am so glad to hear that it all went well. That's what friends are for, and I'm sure that her friendship with you is going to bring her growth as well. It's a beautiful thing!
