Yeah, so me and my mom are down in florida to pick up my sis for the week because she's on spring break. So, my mom and I were at my dad and my step mom's house, and I had promised a friend of mine that I'd come out to my dad this weekend. Little back story, I was 130% sure that they wouldn't care at all, especially since they have joked about it hundreds of times (which leads me to believe they've suspected it). Any who, long story short: Me: "Dad, Mommy-D, I've got an announcement to make! I'm gay." Step Mom: "Okay" Dad: Heh, yeah just like your sister (she's not really, she just jokes about it all the time to bother me) And after that, we went back to the conversation that I had just interrupted. ^^
It's great when parents don't make a big deal out of it. Did your mom know you were going to come out to your dad and step mom?
Nah, my mom didn't know I was going to tell them (but I WAS already out to her) Heh yeah it did feel nice for them not to take it too far
