Gave her two weeks notice after five and a half years on the job...starting a new job on the 25th (!) (no need to tell her I'm gay :icon_bigg)...all this coming out lately made that one real easy!
Woooooooooooo! Yay for new jobs!!!! That's awesome! I hate giving notice though, I always feel guilty.
Yeah, I know, and she milked it for all it was worth, even pleading with me to stay longer, but there is no :***: way I'm staying a minute longer than I need to.
Haha, they tried to get me to stay at the bar too when I put my notice in. I'm like, "I'm moving out of state fool!"
Good luck with the new job, hope it's' something you went after and will enjoy. You've got a whole lot of "change" going on in your life right now. Just be careful and don't let it become overwhelming, take a lot of deep breaths....lol.
Thanks for the well-wishes, yeah, crazy times all around, there's even stuff at my current job which has been very weird lately.
HI greatwhale Congratulation on the new job, I hope all goes well. It’s been a while since I last handed in my notice but I still remember that feeling of relief and freedom and the pleading to stay togeather .. but for me, no chance I was leaving the country to go work overseas. So I totally get the coming out analogy. So as one chapter of your life ends another begins, or in view of all the changes you have made recently and if we stick with the “Lord of The Rings” theme it’s more like the first book closing and the start of another. Congrads on making the change - change is tough in the work place So much focus in North America on "what I do for work" as opposed to "what I am" i on short tern disability from my job of 8 years - just completed total knee replacement When i return to work - I 90% confident I will hang it up also I have a web site that has exploded in last 18 months - more $$ on my web site
