Hey, so a few hours ago I came out to my sister. I decided I wanted to come out to her first, because I knew she wasn't homophobic at all, and I've heard her defending gay rights and saying stuff like "awww" when seeing two guys hold hands. So we were eating at a food court, and I was able to bring up the subject of "secrets", and I mentioned that I had one secret, and she wanted to guess what it is. She asked me does it involve drugs, school, friends etc, and then she finally asked does it involve you, and I said yes. Then she asked, "Are you gay?" And I said, "No, but I would say im bi" Then she asked me if I was serious or I was joking, and once I said I was serious, she was happy I told her. She said "Im so happy you trust me with this" and we just continued on talking like NOTHING happened. Then she told me some of her secrets, and now I feel like we're a lot closer. I also asked her if she would have ever guessed, and she said that I don't seem gay/bi in any way at all, but she did notice that I didn't seem as interested in girls as other guys my age. She also told me that our mom would completely accept it if I decided to tell my mom, so I found that encouraging At one point she asked me exactly what I like about guys, and I just told her I don't feel like getting into details and she was all good with it. I'm happy it went so well :icon_bigg Next step, I'll probably come out to one of my close friends.
Great! You should be so proud of having the courage to come out to your sister. And the response you got was wonderful! Congratulations.
