So, today I came out for the first time to one of my best friends. This is the same person that I was talking about here, and it's really nice to be out to someone. Basically what happened was that he asked (because I had kind of been dropping REALLY obvious clues), I said yes, and he said "oh cool", and the day continued. All in all, it went really well! (!)
Thanks man, that's weird, because I just read your new thread and I feel exactly like you do - no weight lifted after saying it. I asked about that on another site, and they said that it could be to do with coming out to people who you already knew would be fine.
