I don't think it's weird, but when I came out to a friend he asked more about my sexuality than anything else really. He took it pretty well though which is good.
When I told my best friend, one of the first things he asked me was if I thought he was attractive. I of course said no. He was disappointed.
Coming out to someone who said 'yeah' and then continued on with the previous topic as if I had said "it's sunny outside". ..turns out later they were told already by someone else, but that's irrelevant. Or pretend it is :icon_wink
When I was still in high school I told one of my best friends over lunch one day. He looked at me across the table, a lot of thought in his gaze, and said, "Well, I've known this for awhile. I'm more surprised you're actually telling me."
I have a couple of wierd ones, but the one with my best friend was definitely the weirdest. I bought wine, a lot of it. We where both drunk and laughing and then I turned to her and said 'there's someting that I've wanted to tell you for quite a while now.' 'Okey tell me!' 'I'm gay' 'That's it? I know you're gay, I thought you where in love with me!' 'You did, why didn't you tell me? and why did you think I was in love with you?' 'I would love if you where in love with me' (she has a boyfriend) Then she kissed me and passed out from the wine. Later, I confronted her about it and she doesn't remember a thing.
So my friend just one day in class randomly tells me hes bisexual. me: cool. 3min later me: umm im bi too. him: cool. (then i said somthing stupid and tried to high five him, but it was really akward) honestly i think im way more confident about than he is.
I came out to one of my best friends on FB and he was like "oh okay, cool......Wanna get some coffee?" hahaha.
The most amusing one I've heard of is someone who left a post-it on the refrigerator for his mom. It said, Hi, mom. Went out to play basketball. Back at 6:15. Love, Scott. PS: I'm gay. Apparently this worked rather well.
I was talking to my friend, who I had just come out to. I was really nervous about it, because she was the first person I ever came out to, and we were having an incredibly serious conversation, when she stops mid-sentence and says "Oh my god. Do you think Dr. Taylor's hot?" (He was one of the professors we shared). It took me a second to realize what she had asked, because of the seriousness of the prior conversation, but once I came back, all I could do was give her an incredibly big smile and say, "Yep."
I originally thought my R.A. was gay, based on his speech pattern, not mentioning any girls, and his mannerisms. So, I finally asked him in his dorm room "are you something other than straight, I've been always wondering this?" and he was like "oh no, I just have a naturally higher voice and I'm too studious right now to have a girlfriend...well, if YOU'RE gay or bi, that's totally okay since we want to promote a safe experience here at (enter university I go to)." -_-
