Before last night I was planning on never actually coming out to people. With the closet thing, I kind of pictured myself standing in it with the door wide open. If someone asked I'd tell them. If I ever got a girlfriend I'd be like, "Hey, guys, this is my girlfriend Lucy," and move on like there's nothing wrong with it. Because there isn't. So last night one of my roommate's friends was over. I don't remember exactly what she asked me, but it caught me really off guard. Then she told me that she'd already asked my roommate, who'd told her I'm straight. My roommate started asking me things like "Do you like vagina or penis?" which was a little uncomfortable because I usually don't think about it like that. Actually I was a little uncomfortable with the entire thing, but I feel a lot better this morning. And truthfully I was waiting for the day when one of her friends asked me that. It felt inevitable. So I guess I can say I'm out to two people (one person?) besides the internet.
