    Please don't take this as offense, but I find it really sad that you actually had to say that. That in some moment in history, somebody had to be excited because the state they lived in discriminated them based on gender.

    Much agreed. While it's nice to see progress made, it's always bittersweet to remember that it had to be made in the first place, you know?

    Well it's best not to harbor resentment for the past. It's best to forgive and be glad that progress is being made. :slight_smile:

    It is really sad, but I agree with PurpleRain. If we dwell on the past, no progress will ever be made.

    Yeah... It's something I have to learn how to do... I mean, not dwelling on the past. Focusing on the future is something I can do, but dwelling on the past can be much easier..

    I do agree, though. Focusing on the past isn't the best move. But for some reason, I still had to say it.
