I've heard of one other case of someone going back on transitioning, but this one is just... o...k?, as the term seems to be.

    Pretty much.

That would be like me coming out and saying, OK, I'm officially transitioning to male. Don't call me Jade anymore. From now on, I want you all to call me Jayde.

I've heard of strokes changing orientation, but I never thought that gender identity would suddenly change like this! Especially if he has remembered being a woman now! This is bizarre! I guess there's still a lot we don't understand in a scientific sense about sexual and gender identity...

And apparently he lost about 14 years, says he thought it was 1999? Must be strange to wake up 14 years in the future as the opposite sex and single...

I remember a rugby player who went under a coma and then after coming out of it immediately realized he was gay even though he hadn't had a single inclination that way before the coma. But that was a repressed sexuality whereas I think this guy must be suffering from some kind of mental illness if he thought the year was 1999. Interesting.

Is it just me or is the news lately even more insane than usual? The whole Russian olympics thing, the lady comparing gay love to the Castro trial, and now this. The world is slowly going insane I think.

Wow...I used to sometimes wonder what would happen if someone went through with the surgery and then changed their mind. I guess amnesia is a different scenario but still...might be interesting where he ends up with this

I'm really thinking that he came to realize that he wasn't transgender and needed a way out without saying "I was wrong."

Strokes can change A LOT about a person. I'm not surprised, shame he has To go through transitioning again. That must suck. :/

Is it wrong for me to hope I don't ever have a stroke (though same time no one wishes to have a stroke) cause I love being gay and don't want to wind up changing?

And I dunno guys, he's only been living as a woman I believe for three months or so, as a result I don't think he went through reproductive therapy.

Either that or the pressure of transitioning was too much. I really hope he doesn't make a publicity stunt out of this and that it just fades away. The last thing we need is bigots yelling "See! It is a mental illness that can be cured! He's proof!". :\

Yeah I'd really prefer avoiding amnesia therapy in the future.

Well uhhh yeah, what he said. Any time there is a brain injury all bets are off. Though even with that in mind this still blows my mind.

At first I started to get annoyed with the writer for using the wrong pronoun, but I guess the male pronoun was correct.
