Good, all the news about Russia lately has been pissing me off, it's good to see people taking action against these ridiculous laws. I'd like to see Putin's reaction to all of this

I don't know why Russia hasn't been stripped of it's right to host the games. They are breaking IOC rules against discrimination, they could easily be justified in taking away the Olympics from them.

People are confusing this story by stating that we never did things to countries that had human rights issues and hosted the Olympics like China.

However China never blatantly said they would discriminate against ANYONE. Though they have laws against it they didn't let it get in the way of hosting the Olympics, so why the hell can't Russia do this.

Sweden should be commended for taking a stand, something a lot of Western countries are too bigoted or scared of doing.

This move has given me the deepest respect for Sweden, and made me have no respect for Russian government policy. I had no idea Russia was this bigoted, they're such a crap country I don't know why they waste money on creating rules like this. They should spend their legislative time trying to improve their society and not ruin it.

That's awesome! :3 Wonder if Russia'll get the message...

... Though... one of the halves of the colored cross-walk, they put it 'red-yellow-orange' instead of 'red-orange-yellow'. OH WELL. >w<

All zebra crossings should be multi-coloured.

Not discriminate against anyone? Erm, Tibet anyone? And a serious lack of religious freedom amongst other things? There's more to human rights than just discrimination too and the list of China's violations of them are pretty lengthy.

It's a great protest, but Sweden's government aren't taking a stand, it's simply a protest by Swedish people in Sweden. No country are putting actual diplomatic pressure on Russia and as awful as this is, there are far worse things in the world that go largely ignored by the UN and other organisations.

 I wish I lived in London! I'll have to keep my eyes out for these sorts of events near me, I feel awful sitting around in comfort while the young gay men over there are being tortured just for being themselves. I really want to get out and fight this in any way I can. For the greater good.

  17. The Dutch have my utmost respect. I believe it was them (or maybe the Danish) where everyone had to wear the yellow star during WW2 so the Nazis couldn't find and kill their Jews. This reminds me a bit of that.
