He was "pouring" his heart in the wrong thing, sadly. Did he think pouring vodka down his throat would fill the void left by his lost heart?

"Sorry officer, bigots like Don Dwyer have impacted my life so much, I couldn't stop myself from drinking and driving, even though like me to him, he has no impact on my actual life."

Lol. How stupid can he be to blame something completely unrelated for his drunk driving?

    Did you drink? Yes.

    Did you drive? Yes.

Whose fault is the accident then? The gays!

The stupidity of some people

    Wow.

So he admits he has a drinking problem, goes to rehab for it, asks for forgiveness, but STILL says that it's "the gays" that drove him to drink? He clearly didn't do a whole lot of work in rehab.

I wonder, since he's evasive about why he and his wife broke up, if he's a closeted poof.

Yes, because we possess magical powers that make whisky so appealing to be downed before a joy-ride. The man's a politician, but his education and logic reek of pre-school.

That makes about as much sense as me blaming the GOP if I commit vehicular manslaughter. What an ass.

The area he hails from is just south of Baltimore, next to an area called Glen Burnie, locally known as 'Glen Burnout', for the obvious reasons. Sort of a mixture of rednecks, and people with money and boats. Not the most conservative place, but it's sorta like Jersey Shore meets Deliverance. Hard to explain. If you've seen the John Water's movie, Polyester, it was filmed near there.

Luckily, Maryland isn't overly infested with Republicans, though.

South of town is an odd area! Though the city of Baltimore is very different, it's gotten a lot more artsy, kind of like Brooklyn, NY in ways, lots of places to see local bands, art galleries, small playhouses, funky little coffee shops, a decent sized 'gay' neighborhood...the city has a lot of charm, and is pretty laid back and quirky.

Though compared to when I lived in Michigan, it does seem people like to drink a lot more, here...or at least that's my perception as somebody who moved here.

I'm just really happy gay marriage passed, 'cause now me and my mate can be married! Just need to save some money for it. Don't have anything fancy planned, but we've been kins broke, and do want a little something special.

What part of Baltimore is considered the gay district? I don't make it up that way too often.

Mount Vernon. Particularly around the corner of North Charles and Eager, and Charles and Read, also along Chase Street, and really just the neighborhood in general, up though Station North (North and Charles). It's pretty artsy and eclectic, but also very laid back...that's one thing I like about Baltimore...it's gotten cultural, but is still pretty cozy, and friendly. I'd say it's a fun city, overall, one that I've become fond of, despite my rural Michigan roots.

Wind the clocks back a few years and they'd be blaming it on the African-Americans. But they weren't that dumb back then, were they?
