On a social level, the sign was cleverly worded and somewhat stinging. However, the sign can be interpreted as representing God and Joseph as a couple, which would be offensive to call anyone the romantic partner of God, although I don't feel this was the intent.

 

Why can't religious people here be like that ;-;. This church has my respect.

Also, when I talk about my parents, I'm usually not referring to my dad and my step-mom. I'm talking about my dad and my uncle. They're brothers, not partners, but after my mom passed away, they raised me and my sister. I had two male authority figures in my life, and I dare say I turned out pretty well.

I read this article on a different website, and even though I knew I shouldn't have done this, I got too curious and checked the comments:tears:. I literally felt sick to my stomach reading them *sigh*. There were so many people commenting how homosexuality was an abomination to God and anti-gay Bible verses were thrown about. It's kinda suprising that that many conservatives know how to use a computer, let alone access the Internet :lol:. But anyway, I got really upset. Just goes to show that we have a long way to go before we are accepted.
