    Don't be ageist. Just because someone is older doesn't mean they can't shoot it out with the police just as well as the youngsters.

    I'm not being ageist. Where I live, the average 80-year old can't move around without help, let alone fire and recoil withstand the recoil from a gun.

    Maybe this guy ate healthy and exercised. :grin: Anyways, we should look up to guys like him as examples. Just because you age doesn't mean that life experiences are cut off from you - whether it's running a marathon or shooting it out with the coppers.

    There's 20 year olds with the same problem.

    Age has nothing to do with it. Everyone's health is different.

    ...did anyone else click on this thread because the title says "dead 107-year old" and thought they shot a corpse in a shootout?

    I'm normally behind the police, but honestly, could they not have chosen to wait him out? I realize that they shot at him, but hell, he was 107!

    "Ageism" is ridiculous. There's nothing wrong with being surprised that someone over ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN years old is capable of doing this LOL
