If it's the fungus that makes the ant travel to the highest plant and then producing spore, then I think for me, I read that a year or more ago

I was just reading up about cordyceps and how it's apparently been used in traditional Chinese medicine for hundreds of years.

This is simultaneously awesome and somewhat horrifying! I knew there was a reason I loved biology though!

did you know that cats always land on their feet, and toast always lands buttersides down, so if you strap a peice of buttered toast to a cat, and throw it in the air, it will just spin in midair in circle, because the two forces will be in equalibreum? it is the power source of the future... just strap one to a turbine, and tada!!!

There are a lot of fungi that do similar things.

There is a really good part of BBC's Planet Earth or Life(I think it's Life) that follows a couple ants around that were infected by spores that mess with their nervous system and ultimately grow out of their heads.

    Really fucking creepy.

I know there is a similar parasite that takes over snails (Leucochloridium paradoxum).
