I loved reading the story, but if I read any of the comments, I'll want to die.

This almost happened at my school a few years ago, but the board of education wouldn't allow it

So happy for her. It sucks about how upset she was at all the asshole reactions to the story.

The comments are actually pretty positive for once.
Trans* people are finally getting some positive attention!

I'm really happy for her. It really shows that opinions on trans people really are beginning to change for the better. I just wish it was happening faster. It's also good that more trans people are finding it easier to come out younger and truly grow up being themselves. I'm sure it's still hard, but I was already shunned and mocked everyday at school when people just thought I was a gay guy. People tried to beat me up every now and then. It would have been MUCH worse if I had come out as trans.

This would never have happened at my high school; there are too many conservatives. I'm happy that this girl can be herself and be proud.

The sheer stupidity of these people is just frustrating. I'm trying to drop my feelings down to annoyance instead of pure anger and murderous rage.

This is great!:icon_bigg so happy for her.
I have seen some of the comments though, and it doesn't seem like too many other people feel the same way.:icon_sad:
