The ignorance of some people is unbelievable.

 

There is no such thing as a 'standard of decency and normality'.

if we were to apply the bible to him, he would have been stoned decades ago. but we dont live in a fundementalist shithole; we live in a constitutionally diestic democratic republic, meaning he can't push his bile into anyones lives, and he is the outlier, not normal in the fullness of society.

 

Being transgender is not a mental illness. Being a bigot P.O.S is a mental illness.

 

I could say something that would be really mean and hurtful to some people, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

 

Why the fuck is normality even something that has to be standardized? Morality is not based on a norm as slavery and killing Jews in the holocaust were considered "the norm."

He probably does. From my experience, many homophobes usually count transgender people as subset of homosexuality.

 

Yup. I think he believes that transgenderism is an extreme form of homosexuals , i.e gay people become transgender at some point.

Most people seem to think that Transgender individuals are like..."Radical" Homosexuals, or the "gayest" gay people or some nonsense like that. At least in my experience. :bang:

Yes, but Pat Robertson himself has said that he holds no qualms towards transgender people. Granted I never really take anything he says into account or to heart at all, because he even looks like he has no idea what he's talking about. But as 2112 said, the bible doesn't have anything against transgender people, so he doesn't. That was from the horse's mouth. And if he's going to follow strictly to the bible, then more power to him, but nobody's really listening to him. I've seen only one review about him that wasn't 1 star out of how many.

Didn't even know about this until today, but regardless, that's freaking awesome for her! Cassidy was voted as queen fair and square, she deserves it.

The fact that this 60-something commenting on a high school homecoming vote is kind of creepy in my opinion. He's chastising her based on some baseless point of argument. Not only that, she's still a teenager, not even an adult, and he's going around and essentially demonizing her for not fitting into a "societal norm". Who is he to define "normalcy" anyway? What a freaking jerk.

 

Why do all these screwballs always have things like the constitution in the background, as if the constitution says anything about transgendered homecoming queens, gays, or any other issue they so harp about?

The whole Tea-Party/right wing founding fathers fetish has always seemed creepy to me, almost like some kind of cult.

 

This pisses me off. idk what this guy thinks or what he believes. Cass is such an amazing woman inside and out. i hopped on her channel a bit and it makes me so upset that this guy would say anything against her like that. she is such a beautiful person. cant he spare the hate in someone who at least is trying to get it?
