General News 9 year old commits suicide after racist bullying

Apparently an Asian gang threatened him wow....why didnt the school stop this stuff? They said they reported it.

Its really sad. Kids don't understand how those hurtful words affect others.

 

Schools never do anything about it. There were 2 suicides in 2 years at my school and they still completely ignore it.

 

This breaks my heart because I have a son who is 9 years old. I couldn't even imagine losing a child due to bullying and by means of suicide. This is exactly why I'm constantly asking my boys if there's anything I should be concerned about. Not only that, I'm very involved in my kids school. And I made sure that this was the number one issue that the staff, parents and I discussed. I'm praying for the little boy's family because they must be devastated.

 

I have never understood how anyone can every treat another human being in such a horrible way. Dont parents know how to teach their kids respect, if they did there would be a lot less bullying. The schools and teachers need sorting out too. Public schools can be really bad in the UK, the teachers are only there for the money and don't give a shit about the kids that they are "teaching". There are some really fucked up people in this world.

 

Some schools attitude to bullying is sweeping it under the rug, not solving the problem.

A lot of students are worried about squealing on their classmates, so they don't tell teachers or they'll get bullied even more. Still doesn't justify it though, the schools should be focusing on what happens in the playground and in the classrooms, it's horrendous that a 9 year old would kill himself. He could have had such a promising life, yet it was ruined by those bullies. I hope they get what's coming to them.

 

I remember someone telling me this was a fake story. If this is real, then I hate the world we live in.

 

There's something odd about this story - originally reported back in February (see the date in the original article) but for some reason is suddenly doing the rounds now, nothing about it outside the Daily Mail / The Sun newspapers* and Islamaphobic blogs / forum posts.

ITV simply report he was bullied (a pretty common occurrence in our schools unfortunately
) before his death and the police are investigating (and no reports of any conclusion to said investigation).

* Both renowned for taking 2+2 and making 7 - especially where the "baddies" in the story's aren't heterosexual white law abiding tory voting male middle class southern Englanders over the age of 30.

 

It's also kinda crazy that such a young kid is able to do something like purposefully hang themselves. Like know how to do it and stuff.

I'm so surprised and sad. Poor kid.
