Former tennis champion Martina Navratilova has been telling the BBC's 100 Women conference about the three principles which have guided her throughout her life.

The 18-time Grand Slam singles winner spoke about the need to "break boundaries, be yourself and believe in yourself".

She also revealed the decision to come out as gay led to accusations of "career suicide" and the loss of millions of dollars in endorsements but meant she stayed "true to herself".
