One day left before Election Day, 2013. Democrat Terry McAuliffe leads extreme-far-right Republican Ken Cuccinelli (Cooch-in-ellie) by a touchdown-7 points in the final poll, and despite that fact, some news outlets are saying that this is still a close race in what Vice President Joe Biden calls "The race against the Tea Party."

In New Jersey, the final poll has Chris Christie carrying 59% of the vote. Christie says his reelection will "send a message to the GOP" that in order to win elections they need to move back to the center. Well, in order for today's GOP to come back to the center, they'd probably need a Boeing 747, but that's beside the point.
