Glenn Beck is a highly conservative pundit who loves to go on heated diatribes against liberalism and the erosion of American values. If he is on our side, it's all over but the screaming.

Glenn Beck has been mostly libertarian-leaning (at least, in the recent years). This isn't too much of a surprise.

I think the shock comes from the fact that people will find it odd if your politics differs from personal views. Beck probably doesn't condone homosexuality, but he doesn't believe the government should enforce moral laws upon people. And he's not without compassion.

Personally, this doesn't seem like anything "end-times" level. Now, if we're talking Mike Huckabee, Sean Hannity, or some other conservative pundit, I'd feel differently if they started standing up for gay rights and marriage equality. That would be a strange thing indeed...

(P.S. His 2012 presidential endorsements were odd considering his growing libertarian views, but if we're being honest, there wasn't a very good field to work with. He could've gone with Paul but that would have been a long shot and I think Paul was too libertarian for Beck at the time. Mostly, I'm sure he just wanted Obama out of office so he was picking the best hopeful candidate. Too bad his first picks were wrong. Well, bad for him. Good for America probably.)

 

I would just keep in mind that the female pundit (staunch economic conservative republican S.E. Cupp) tends to lean more liberal on social issues including SSM, but Glenn Beck on the other hand I think may be evolving on the topic. I still believe he is opposed to ANY, if all rights to same sex couples and individuals, but it is still very surprising to see this come from his mouth, and not someone like Anderson Cooper or Don Lemon.

 

I think he came out opposed to any government regulations on which adults san marry which adults when asked about gay marriage recently

 

He was a total idiot on FOX.... suprised

 

I think the most shocking thing about his comments is that he sound completely genuine.

That or he's a complete psychopath.
