General News Spirit Airlines' response to Marijuana Legalization in Colorado

    This is the email I got from Spirit Airlines advertising low fares to Denver in celebration of the fact that pot is now legal in the Centennial State. I thought this was hilarious, and it's pretty characteristic of them, who a few years ago made headlines of their MILF sale, saying that it stood for Many Islands, Low Fares, and the "Eye of the Tiger" sale, which featured a picture of a live tiger climbing out of an SUV that had just crashed into a fire hydrant, to poke fun at Tiger Woods. Enjoy!

    What they turned MILF into is absolutely hilarious. They have Spirit all right. I have to see where these people go. Hopefully, they are a discount carrier.

    Colorado has been added to my short-list of vacation destinations...I love hiking, mountains and canyons, and with this added bonus, the stat'e become much more appealing.

    Spirit Airlines calls themselves an "Ultra-Low-Cost Carrier." That means that you have low fares, but also a fee for the right to book the ticket, charges for checked bags, carry ons, personal items, drinks, oxygen masks, seat belts, etc. They also cram something like 3 or 4 rows of seats on the plane to add passengers, so it's going to be a very long ride out to Denver.
