Russia has said prior to this that anyone who would want to protest in support of LGBT Russians at the Olympic events would be allowed to. But clearly, they have broken that promise.

    And people believed them? :roflmao:

Everyone who goes to those protest zones to protest will get seven bells knocked out of them by Neo Nazis, Milanov's minions, Orthodox Church stormtroopers or whatever the Russian state can throw at them.

I didn't expect they would, but at least they'll get smeared by every worldwide media source covering the Olympics.

OK, I can't believe this. I don't think any of our actions are helping.

The olympic commity should make it so that the olymics can only be held at places that do not arrest & descrimate people like Russia has done... This is getting pathetic.if mainsteam media actually paid attention to this issue, there'd be major protests against the olymics this year. The olympics might've not even happened if enough attention was drawn.

Problem is the IOC (and a lot of other sporting bodies for that matter) are still full of dinosaurs that think it's entirely acceptable to discriminate on the basis of sexuality. Hell FIFA are taking the next two World Cups to Russia and Qatar, the IOC will probably give the 2024 Olympics to Tehran.

I'll be watching Sochi really closely this year, but not for the right reason. I actually really hoped they would move or even cancel the olympics this time. It's obvious that people might actually be in danger if they go over there, knowing that a lot of athletes are openly gay. I fear the worst.

I'll watch, but only if it's the curling and Britain are playing Russia for a medal. Maybe the Hockey if it's USA v Russia, but only because the Miracle on Ice was awesome.

This is the one thing I know am not watching this winter. Why would any gay person or gay friendly watch a olympics that takes place in Russia. The USA should of pulled out along with other countries. Russia does not deserve our money or respect.

They actually said they wouldn't arrest people? See, I swear I read that they said they wouldn't bring harm to people....

Still, they broke both. But if anyone is surprised.....:/
