LGBT News sperm donor to lesbian couple has to pay child support

It's kinda dumb that he has to pay child support for donating sperm... the child has 2 mothers. Why should a third parent have to get involved?

 

Come on that's just wrong save up for your baby if you want one . I feel sorry for that guy . If I were trying to get pregnant and got a sperm donor the only thing I would have done is let him see the baby if he wanted to visit once and a while .

I think it is very unfair that he has to pay child support. However, they should have done a little more research before they asked some random guy for his sperm.

There's a actually a movie about lesbians who pay this guy in exchange for his sperm. Obviously, this is considered a crime and he gets caught. I see why its best to things the right way, that way you do not run into any issues in the future. That or don't ever apply for public assistance, which is kind of sad because everyone falls on hard times, sometimes.

And here this couple is - a punching bag for jokes.

 

Let's be clear here. The lesbian couple is on his side. They aren't out there looking to shake him down for his money or anything like that. This was 100% instigated by the state.

It began as a result of the biological mother filing for public assistance after the relationship with her girlfriend ended. She made it clear on one of the forms that her child didn't have a father, as the child was conceived via a donor. She showed the contract that had been signed by her and him absolving him of any responsibility for the child, but the state decided that because a doctor wasn't used that it was invalid.

Basically, this is a fuck you from the state to the biological mother who is a lesbian, and the guy who assisted them in having the baby. The judge and the state had an agenda. That agenda is to punish them for conceiving the child in the first place, and then to discourage others from doing the same by creating an unnecessary legal hurtle. An expensive legal hurtle.

EDIT: Just wanted to add. If the state wanted to hold anyone accountable for the child support it should have been the biological mother's ex-girlfriend. They agreed to have the child together, but when their relationship ended the other mother just decided to skip out of town like a dead beat mother. This is what led the biological mother to apply for public assistance in the first place. However, since the state doesn't want to recognize same sex couples they're going after the sperm donor instead.

 

Seeing how often cases like these are reported in the news, you'd think people would wisen up and go through the proper channels before doing something like this.

 

This case doesn't make any damn sense.

 

Why can't the remaining parent give him back the money?
