It's nice to hear about some good news every once in a while. I feel so happy for them.

I saw this on Facebook and the only person who saw who was upset about it, was because the ceremonies were rushed. She could have cared less on whom was getting married, but she was not happy about the ceremonies be so rushed.

I agree with you on that, though those award shows are always very long. You have to keep in mind it ends for the watchers at home, but the people attending have been there all day and still have a long sit. 33 couples is a lot. For them to stretch it to stand still with every couple, I can understand is too long. (They could have cut Katy Perry's preformance though. No problem with that).

It was such a kitschy and attention-grabbing stunt. Will also be awkward when at least half those couples gets divorced in the next few years.

Don't you think that was sort of the idea? To grab attention, to try help marriage equality along and make it a statement of support?

Personally I think it was fricken beautiful, if I didn't have such a painfully infected eye, I would have allowed myself to cry.

Sorry, I meant to say attention-whorish, not attention-grabbing.
(FTR, this is how I view all pompous and/or flashy and showy weddings, especially those that are turned into spectacles/reality show events on TV.)

If you stand next to your special someone and Macklemore plays "Same Love" you have no choice but to get married right there and then, it's just how the universe was made

    Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a rule. :icon_bigg

Normally, I never give a rat's ass about the Grammys, but I had to go and find a video of this performance and of Daft Punk's performance. The Grammys are still absolutely awful, but at least they had some great shows this year.
