So if you don't remember it or didn't see it, Honey Nut Cheerios ran an ad that featured a biracial family, that I and a bunch of other people thought was very cute.

Now, apparently a lot of people are still not comfortable with the idea of a biracial couple, and this ad got a lot of flak (solely because of the race of the couple) from people that I will call racists, for lack of a better word, because that's what they are.

Now, the good news about this is Cheerios has double downed on those haters, with this ad.

I love when companies stand up against hate and intolerance like this.

Wonder how offensive the conservative racist outrage in the YouTube comments are going to be.

  3. I like how when the dad said deal on the puppy, the mom was like "WTF?!"

I love this ad more. Since the first one, I always hoped for another ad featuring the dad more.

To tell you the truth I've become used to people's reactions when seeing things like this. I myself am a black and/or African-American (whatever you wanna call it) and this has unfortunately become routine. Do I think it's right? No, of course not but unnecessary "backlash" always happens when talking about race in a controversial way. With that being said, we as people have to learn to look past it and say forget it (for lack of a better word) and roll with the punches and in some cases laugh like it never happened.

Haha, yea, this is what I loved. xD Her face was priceless.

I never understood why anyone had an issue with the first ad in the first place.

Like the incredible uproar from American media when KFC in Australia showed a white Aussie share his bucket of KFC with some noisy Jamaicans at a cricket match. :rolle:

Little kid's face is all sassy and like "I better get a puppy" And I love her face when the dad's saying she's gonna have a brother. It's like "excuse me?" and then she smiles.

I love these commercials they're just so cute. And I would love to have a kid like Gracie she's just adorable and sassy awesome.

Don't you have conservative bi-racial couples where you live?

Oh, I love those ads!

That being said, I dunno. Seeing it even for the first time, I never thought there was anything unusual about it. I never once thought, "Holy shit, they're showing a bi-racial couple in a commercial! I bet this is the only time I'm going to see it because the conservative folks are going to be pretty upset over this."

What is it with people and hating love anyway?

Just for the record, I love Cheerios. Used to (attempt to) feed them to my stuffed animals. Now I love them more.

    So adorable! <3

I truly can't fathom racist mentality, it's among the most abhorrent notions in existence.
