Philip Seymour Hoffman Dead at Age 46

Absolutely shocking news, I had to rub my eyes and look again when this came up on my newsfeed. He was an incredible actor, and to die so young is truly a tragedy. Quite aggrieved at this.

Oh wow....this is the last thing I expected to hear today. Very shocking news.

RIP.....he was never a big name actor, but he did what he did extraordinarily well. I loved his role as Truman Capote.

    Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman dies

This is heartbreaking. I loved this actor since the film the 25th Hour, where his small part is the best thing about it. And I'm a MASSIVE fan of Catching Fire, the second Hunger Games movie.

Absolutely gutted by this news. RIP.

Yeah I just heard this. That sucks, I wish the media wouldn't circle around people in the entertainment with drug problems like vultures around a corpse. It makes people less likely to seek treatment. Those that were close to him said that's why Michael Jackson fought so hard to keep his drug abuse a secret. I wonder if we didn't make such a big deal out of it, if PSH would have sought treatment. I thought over the last year or so he looked like he might be using. Didn't really expect things to escalate so quickly though. A great actor though. He'll be missed.

I thoroughly enjoyed his acting. I don't know him any more than the many other people who also died in the past few days, but RIP. :\

When I heard this, I just sat staring at my laptop for about five minutes taking it in. A phenomenal actor who always managed to be one of the very best things about any movie he appeared in. Such a tragedy.

Wow. My favorite movie where he starred in was "Twister" where he played Dusty. He was one of the funniest characters in that movie.

This is quite sad... Not only was he a great actor but yet another life wasted to overdose. May he rest in peace.
