Good for him. It's great that he's not like crack smoker Rod Ford.

Now that's grounds for legend status right there.

    And my city's mayor. Whoop.

It's all the rage to be flying the rainbow flag in Canada right now.

Toronto has one of the largest pride parades in the world, the former mayor David Miller, went to every single one, and I think officially opened them all.

All Canadian mayors aren't homophobic, you can't be an open homophobe and get elected to office in Canada.

People also forget that Montreal has had like 4 mayor changes in the past 12 months because of scandals.

Did you also know that Toronto's city hall has a pride flag up as well for the exact same reason? Rob Ford wanted it taken down because he thought Sochi wasn't a reason to impose political will on another country; which I actually agree with. I don't like Rob Ford, and prior to elections I didn't like him, but he is one of the few mayors to personally know THOUSANDS of people in the city, he actually gets out there and talks to people, and has been doing so for years and years. This means he has a massive following of people that support him and know him to be a good guy, crack or not, he lives and is the mayor of one of the gayest cities on the planet, so he can't be all that bad.
