If he was 18, it's none of the school's business. So long as he was safe, and thought it though, I don't see any problem. A lot of people are struggling now as the middle class disappears, and the rich get richer. People do what they have to in order to live, and we don't need prudish Florida schools telling us what's right and wrong. Figures it would be a state like Florida, where they don't like to help poor folks.

 

While I can't say I approve of sexual promiscuity, I can say that this wasn't the school's business.
However, I don't think this kid's motives were that pure, either. I can't say he was "right" in making porn.

I don't think it'd be too hard to find his stuff. The site he's on is a pretty major site, one which I frequent.

I don't care if he did porn. If he's at that level of comfort with his body, right on dude. Share it with the world and get paid for it.

 

Yeah people can do whatever they want, and they don't need to justify themselves for it either. Whatever reason he did porn, it's not a big deal and there's nothing wrong with it since he's of legal age.

 

I think it's important to consider that the school is saying that they did not ban him for the porn. They may be lying, but we may be raging over something that isn't the actual cause. Of course, the media will say it's the porn, because that makes for better news. But I'm doubting that that was the real reason.

 

None of anyone's business what he does with his body. He's an adult, capable of making his own decisions and doesn't need the world deciding what is right and wrong for him on his behalf.

Very true. The media will expand a story as much as possible to make money out of it.

The school isn't very convincing in its argument, however. According to the article, the referral slip says he made threats against other students. However, Marucci says that he was being bullied. It's easy to imagine a situation where he is being bullied and says something in the heat of the moment to get the bullies to go away and leave him alone.
It might have even been the bullies themselves that made up the threat and reported it to a teacher or the principal; who then were predisposed to trust the word of those students due to their prejudices against Marucci.
I'm just hypothesizing, but we're not going to get the truth anytime soon, if ever about why the school suspended him.

 

He's 18, he broke no rules. That's like suspending girls for being pregnant. Clearly they had sex for that baby to be there (unless it's artificial insemination), so why not suspend them as well.

I saw that kid on their website. He's 100% straight, he wasn't enjoying what he was doing at all.

He's 18...dear god leave him alone. So what he is in porn? Consenting adult, and also if he's being bullied for it is anyone gonna ask why the other kids were looking at gay porn in the first place? If I see my classmate doing the nasty I ain't gonna start bashing them, because it'd be obvious what i look up on my computer at night now wouldn't it?

He is the legal age of consent and is able to do whatever sexual actions he likes, so long as it is legal. It is up to him how he makes a living, may be if the school wasn't so terrible then he could have got a better paid job.

 

Aye, gay pornstars are paid a lot more. There aren't as many gay porn actors as there are straight porn actors.

 

What a student does off campus grounds shouldn't be the school's business. He's an adult and he should be able to make his own decisions without being persecuted by the school. The other thing is how the fuck did they know he was apart of Sean Cody (I think that's the site) and pick him out amongst the other actors?
