    A bit odd, but I support her. :slight_smile:
    I really think name changing should be a lot less difficult... I mean if they are an adult they should be able to have any name they want. Except slurs maybe... a bit on the fence about that.

    Why the hell should their approval matter? It should always be all about the individual.

    And I didn't take in that this was all done in "Licking County" until someone mentioned it in the comments. :lol:

    And of course unexpectedly people are being assholes in the comments. Not that it matters, but I actually think the name's kinda cute, it makes me think of the name "Kitty" It's fine if this name may not be someone's own cup of tea, just don't be an asshole about it and feel like you have any authority on what people name themselves.

    I do think it's strange, but I still think she shouldn't have to get special promission to do it.

    Doesn't surprise me. When I was in the courtroom, we had a guy that previously changed his name to that of a minor charecter from a well known space drama. He was coming back to change it back to his birth name at the insistence of his fiancée.

    I never realized how funny of the name of my home county was until I came to college.. then everybody laughed at it. (It's really named for salt licks in the area)

    On a more serious note though, I just think that it's sad that some trans* people have a hard time getting their names changed, but this women can get her name changed to "sexy". (Hey, if that's what she wants her name to be, who am I to judge?)
