I know! I saw a post on this at my favorite left-wing web site, and promptly shared it with a bunch of people. This should go viral. I hope others pick up the link and post it where many will see it.

 

Wow. I don't know what else to say. That was beautifully spoken.

 

Texas isn't all bad like some want to believe. I live here and have yet to have someone say anything negative towards me. Most Texans are deeply traditional, but also willing to open their eyes when you stand right in front of them and inform them they are backwards in some of their views. The most shocking example of this was at a gun range. I'll tell the story if anyone is interested.

Oh gosh, this is one of the most wonderful things I've read in a while.
And you know, I actually like that he admits he isn't always comfortable when people tell him they are gay. Because fact of the matter is, there are a lot of people who aren't and that probably won't change for a while. But when even those people seeing that treating gay people like lesser humans is wrong, we're getting somewhere.
