I've noticed that a couple of my friends have already implemented it

 

Its there, at least for me. You have to go to update info, click edit then click gender and it is the their one on the list as "custom". Once you click on custom you can edit it.

 

Just checked and it's there. This is SO fucking cool.

They are probably still applying it to some people's profiles. It works for me though. I just have to decide if I want to keep my gender as male or transmasculine now..

It's about time that they implemented something like this though

Things are done in patches. FB is a US company so they're going to start with their own region before patching other regions.

Does make me wonder though, if you will be able to use it as a search criteria. I mean if you can be found be gender then christ, is that ever open to abuse....

I saw this earlier, I was so happy! I put ine as Gender Variant, Gender Nonconforming and Other. I left out Gender fluid cause my family, but everyone else knows what the "Other" is referring to. Only downside was it messed up my family list, it put all of my family as "pending" and listed me as "brother" on some and "sister" on others. I ended up deleting the profile list of "family" and made a custom one, only cause I need it to customize some of my posts easier. I am glad Facebook finally did this.
- Maybe I will add Gender Fluid later on idk, for now it remains "Other".

 

I read that right now, this is only an option if you have your facebook set to english. So, that's why some of you don't have this option yet.

 

I heard some people say that if you change your language setting to US English, it will let you use the new custom genders.

 

I heard if you did the hacking thing before they changed it, to make it blank, that a new non-binary thing won't show up if you try changing it. So if you did the blank thing before, try picking male or female and then picking custom and choosing whichever other one you want.

Also, I had trouble showing mine at first as well. Before I clicked the custom thing, a little check mark thing showed, saying something like "Show on my timeline" But I didn't have it check marked. So whenever I tried changing it to a custom thing, it didn't show up. But after I went back, clicked female, check marked the "show on my timeline" thing, and then changed it to a custom one again, THEN it finally showed up on my profile. So that might be another reason why it didn't show up. Also, check your privacy settings of course.
