    I just posted a thread like this. Except, I accidentally said "Kentucky" instead of "Virginia", silly me. Nevertheless, this is great new! I can only imagine another American Dad episode involving same-sex marriage... heh

    Does this mean gay people can get married in Virginia, or only that the marriages from other states would be recognized?

    The ruling is stayed, or blocked from taking effect, pending an appeal, however it means that the ban is unconstitutional and gay marriage is legal in Virginia.

    I'm sure that McAuliffe and his cabinet won't appeal. Not sure if the Republican state congressmen would have standing in the case or not, since the state isn't appealing.

    Yep, and I bet the explosion was beautiful!

    But you're right. Every vote counts. It was a close race, and this is why I don't vote for Republicans. (among many other reasons)
