    Oh, Texas. There are unfortunately too many backwards folks that haven't inbred into the asylum yet. It's not so bad in the bigger cities though.

    It sounds like Johnson caught a case of "cold feet" at the last minute... Texas wouldn't be Texas without an old school, backwoods bludgeoning every now and then, would it? I'm so glad my grandparents decided to leave for CA fifty years ago.

    Disgusting little closet-case...they are the WORST. But I'm glad people like Brice Johnson choose to stay in the closet, I would be embarrassed to have people like him in the gay community.

    This being a tiny town in rural Texas, the scum could probably walk free claiming a "gay panic" defense, claiming the victim came onto him sexually so he was justified in beating him up in "self-defense". A conservative Texas jury would probably acquit him of all charges. So I really hope the feds will intervene and bring federal hate crimes charges against Johnson.

    unfortunately none of us are safe. i don't just mean the lgbt community. hate is out there it will never go away. i'm glad that people like that aren't getting away with it AS MUCH. as jerry springer says *take care of yourself and others* ... or something like that. i'm lousy at quoting without the little button.LOL
