Are UKIP trying to get the LGBT vote now? He has done an exclusive interview with the UK LGBT news site PinkNews

Nigel Farage confirms that UKIP will not campaign to abolish same-sex marriage - PinkNews.co.uk

Edit - Just read it, I actually agree with Farage on this one, he is proposing a system like the french one where everyone has a civil marriage in a town hall/registry office and then if you want you then go to a church/mosque etc. and have the religious ceremony.
There is no pressure on a church or anything it is IMO the best way to do this.

I still maintain that the Scottish system trumps all. If a religious institution wants to do gay weddings then they opt in, if not then they stayed opted out and they're under no obligation to opt in nor can they be sued.

Much better than the French system.

I told you UKIP aren't a threat to gay rights, just so long as your not an Eastern European gay person lol.

This really is the best way to do it, honestly.

Too bad the Religious right in the US won't get that in the next 50 years.

UKIP is still very anti-gay, don't let them try to fool you. Them saying that they will not defend same sex marriage doesn't mean they support it. Just like the GOP in the US House said they would no longer defend DOMA. Doesn't mean that they don't support DOMA.

Development of the Scottish bill came first, ergo England stole our ideas...again!

Well as good as that is, there is a higher chance of me demanding a SECOND penis than there is of me voting for them...

Nigel Farage appears to U-turn again on same-sex marriage - PinkNews.co.uk

I make that 17 hours since the Q&A was published and the flip flop from UKIP which makes it the fastest flip flop in the history of British politics.
