Why do I get the feeling people are gonna scream "Gay agenda" louder than before?

 

That's awesome! Wish they'd put trans in there too.

 

Let them. It won't do them any good.

 

That would be fantastic, not just for me, but for a lot of people. It doesn't mean I won't get fired, but maybe if businesses had to pay a price for doing it, like they would for someones race or gender, maybe less businesses would do it.

 

Considering that this congress can't even manage to pass gas, I'm not holding my breath.

 

Trans is in there, and sadly that's part of the reason why the bill always fails. A gay-only non-discrimination act would have passed years ago.

But the 'bathroom' scare tactic (e.g. boys will pretend to be trans girls to go into the girls bathroom, etc.) is an effective one at killing the legislation.

Unfortunately Joe Biden making these remarks at a gathering of gay rights advocates pretty much means squat. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives won't even allow ENDA to be taken up for a vote. As long as the GOP controls the House (and they probably will until at least the end of this decade), ENDA is going nowhere.

 

Oh yeah. I do remember reading about that. That's rather a bummer.

 

I think they should look at Baltimore county... Where trans rights are protected, meaning they can use appropriate bathrooms without discrimination.
republicans would see that there have been no reports of anyone abusing the "bathroom" rights, no guys playing girls to sneak a peak.
Baltimore's crime rate is kinda high too.
