Flappy Birds re-release confirmed by Dong Nguyen | The Reporter

The Vietnamese creator of Flappy Bird, Dong Nguyen, has recently confirmed that Flappy Bird will return to the app store, after thousands of clone apps were created trying to rip off the original.

Apparently, the upcoming return will come with a warning: "Please take a break". Makes sense.

I really enjoy it, too! I didn't delete it either, but I'm not addicted. My highest is 114, I achieved that about three weeks ago, but for some reason I've lost the spark and now I'm getting 20-30 at best.

I'm sure a lot of people will be happy with this decision, that is if they were stupid enough to delete it if they loved it.

    That's good to hear.

The craze only caught on to me after it got removed from the app store, so I installed the .apk file instead. And...I gave up after 13. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm pretty sure that this was not a publicity stunt. This game was extremely well known already before it was taken off. The creator originaly got rid of it because the money that he was making from the game was interfering with his simple life.

which is exactly why this is a publicity stunt! hahaha. now even more people want to get in on this game which has driven the world upside down apparently.

Game development is a difficult process. I can't fathom why he'd make a game if he didn't either a) do it for the art or b) want to make it big. Nor can I fathom why he doesn't want money. What...

Well, my sister's been addicted to the "bootleg" version of "Splashy Fish" so maybe I'll get her the original one now.
