It's a shame life doesn't mean life here in the UK. Because that's what he deserves.

I'm totally with you on this! Or... at least I would have said that. I've been trying to focus more on that fact that it's ignorant people, regardless if they are men, that is the heart of the problem. True... these disgusting people seem to more often be men, but I think that's because the way our society has been for so long, it shapes many men into that.

Agreed, same could be said for the straight women who think they can turn gay men straight by getting them drunk or forcing themselves on them. It's baffling too since these people are homophobic, why in the first place would they want to interact with anyone LGBT+ if they can't stand them?

 

From what little I know about men in general, my opinion is that there are men that think rape is justified and men that don't, period. The excuse is just the excuse, to somehow make the bad ones look less evil to others, and allow them to justify what they did to themselves.

What you said about learning self defense is a very good idea for any woman, straight, lesbian, or bi. As far as weapons, it probably would be a good idea to check with someone about what is legal in your state. The best weapon legally is one that isn't strictly a weapon, but has some other legitimate use, like a small metal tactical flashlight.

Since the sexual harassment on my job and outside of work l'm becoming more uneasy about men and I want to protect myself

 

Reading this I'm horrified to realise that my own mum would probably support corrective rape because she thought having sex with a man would cure me of my attraction to women AND my transsexualism.
